Earlier today, Gareth Evans, director of The Raid and the upcoming sequel released this deleted scene from the new movie with the following statement:
“This is one of a few deleted scenes taken from the film. Reasons to cut were entirely down to pacing issues. This was probably the hardest for me to cut due to the fact that the production on this scene lasted around 6 days of shooting, it cost us a fuck load to make and it served to escalate the gang war out onto the streets involving people outside of the closed off inter-gang politics.
At the end of the day though, after discussing its worth it took us away from the central theme for a little too long with characters that would only exist in this scene alone.
Whenever I edit a film – every scene feels like a precious moment. “No fucking way can I cut this” is a regular phrase I utter at Aram (one of the producers at XYZ Films who patiently worked with me to get the film to it’s final cut) but his patience was always a virtue and it’s when you make a cut and no longer miss it from the bigger picture a few days down the line that you realise it was the right decision to make.
But I still want you guys to see the chaos and the mayhem we had in store, and so with the release of the film coming in a few days time – here’s a sample of one of the action scenes that simply didn’t make it.
If this is the kind of footage that Evans is having to cut of the final run of the film, it certainly looks like the finished version is going to be incredibly insane!
The film is released on the 28th March in the States and April 11th in the UK. Hopefully this deleted will keep everyone happy till then.
Or is this just brilliant marketing scheme to celebrate the upcoming 30th Anniversary of the Back to the Future films.
These videos are apparently showing that the technology has been made real to allow us to have real life hoverboards and they are so well done. The added extra touch of having Christopher Lloyd in the video just makes it so much sweeter as well. The producers of these videos have really gone the extra mile to ground them in reality by using skateboard legend Tony Hawk as a guinea pig, along with musician Moby.
Only released a few days ago, the internet has already exploded with people getting excited over the prospect of owning a hoverboard and fans of franchise have let out a collective nerdgasm over this marketing scheme.
I so wish this was true, but it really can’t be.
More information can be found on the website for the boards, here, which also features a nice little countdown calender to December. What this date means, only time will tell!

With The Lego Movie being released today in the UK it seems that the people behind the film have had one last attempt to drum up a final bit of excitement for the movie, with a short clip of some of the bloopers from the finished film.
Everyone loves a blooper reel. People like to see other people messing at their jobs (well I know I do) and a blooper reel is the perfect to show that even movie stars get messed up from time to time.
This offering includes some rather brilliant offerings from Batman, voiced by Will Arnett but I will leave it up to you to decide what is your favourite bit!
Ok so I decided to move up in the world of my internet presence and do a YouTube video review. It is only short and it is my first attempt; but I thought I would give it a go!
Hope you enjoy.
