So here it is! After we were given a quick 15 second sneak peak yesterday, the full trailer for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy has officially been released.
The trailer looks like a hellish amount of fun and I am really excited for this movie. I am a huge fan of James Gunn’s previous work, especially Slither and Super, but he really wouldn’t have been my first choice for a movie like this, although I did think the same thing when they announced Joss Whedon as the driving force behind The Avengers and that turned out pretty well!
The film seems to have still kept all of the trademark humour from Gunn’s previous work, and the highlight for me is the use of Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Suede, certainly not the first song you’d think about putting in a superhero movie.
The film features Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, as well as many more and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.
Here is the red band trailer (so we get swearing and dirty jokes!) for the latest movie from Seth MacFarlane. It is full of the usual crude humour that has become his calling card, with works such as Family Guy, American Dad and his last movie, Ted. A Million Ways To Die In The West certainly doesn’t look like it is going to be a change in style from any of them.
I just hope they haven’t put all of the jokes into this trailer, but when it comes to MacFarlane and crew you know you are in for some laughs!
Spike Jonze has never been one to shy away from unusual material when it comes to his movies, and it looks like he isn’t set to disappoint with his latest movie, Her.
Starring Joaquin Phoenix as a man who seems to have entered into a rather different form of relationship after the breakdown of his marriage; one that involves his computers operating system, voiced by Scarlett Johansson.
Whilst this kind of love story could of been presented in a very creepy and unnatural light, Jonze seems to have managed to create a story which shows how our way of interacting with technology is rapidly changing as time progresses and questions what does it mean for us to actually fall in love and where those boundaries lie.
As a fan of Jonze’s previous work, I for one am rather looking forward to seeing this movie.
Here is the teaser trailer for The Strain, the new television project from Guillermo Del Toro. The show is based on the novel that he co-wrote with Chuck Hogan and is the first part of a trilogy of books; whether the show will cover all of the events in the series we will have to wait and see.
The series of novels focus on a vampire epidemic that breaks our in New York. Whether the world is ready for another television show about vampires is unclear, but from this teaser and the fact that Del Toro is involved it seems to show that it isn’t going to be like any of other vampires shows that we have at the moment (We’re looking at you True Blood and The Vampire Diaries).
Whilst the teaser doesn’t much away in terms of plot, it certainly sets the tone for the series and it will be interesting to see how well it is received when it is finally released.
Here is the latest trailer for what looks to be another hit from Laika, the studio that brought us Coraline and Paranorman.
This time around though, we are not given a look into the actual movie, but the painstaking process that goes into making a stop motion wonder like this.
It is nice to see the mixing of the footage from the movie and showing how it gets made. It breaks down the barrier that film making often tries to keep up. It allows us to see what actually goes into making a movie and the finished results.
I am very excited for this movie, and hope it follows in the tone of their previous works; one which is appealing to children but also shows them the slightly darker aspects of life!
It seems that nowadays film distributors aren’t happy with giving audiences just one trailer to announce their latest movie; they have to come in pairs. It happened with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues last month, and now it has happened with Muppets Most Wanted.
The trailers do differ slightly, and I am glad to see an ever so extended version of the increasing badge joke included in this trailer. For some reason this had me laughing out loud.
As I mentioned in the other trailer post, I am a fan of The Muppets so these new trailers are making me very excited for the film!
Here it is! The latest UK trailer for the sequel to 2011s The Muppets; Muppets Most Wanted.
We are finally given some more information to the plot of the movie with this longer trailer and it certainly seems to have a more rounded plot than the first film; whether this will take any of the fun away from this latest Muppet movie we will just have to wait and see from the finished film.
The trailer also manages to throw many of the great cameo’s that are littered through the film at the audience, and from the YouTube comments it seems that people are already chomping at the bit to fan favourite, Tom Hiddleston in the film.
Being a fan of The Muppets I can’t wait to see this film, hopefully it will be as good as the first, but we have to wait till next year to find out!
