First Image and More Details From The Human Centipede Part 3

Human Centipede 3

Here is the first official image from The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence)  to give it its full name. Whilst some people never wanted a first film, let alone a second, director Tom Six is finally nearing the end of his cinematic vision with the final installment to his Human Centipede franchise.

I was a huge fan of the first film, however the second didn’t really sit right with me. I understand that he was trying to be self referential and show how the first film had such a huge impact on society; it never really lived up to first one. That is just my opinion and I know some thought that the first film was horrific and was used as a rite of passage with some teenagers to see if they would actually watch it.

In a recent interview with Entertainment WeeklyTom Six, had this to say about the film:

“THC Part 3 will be totally different from Parts 1 and 2 and certainly not as gross,” NOT AS GROSS, I don’t think fans of the first two films will be happy about this!

“But it will be the most controversial one politically-wise. It will have a lot of self-mockery and will be the most darkly comical of the three. Parts 1 and 2 have a very European feel. Part 3 is very American with the highest budget, a big movie score, widescreen, and an XXL human centipede. It’s set in an American maximum security prison in the middle of the desert. Plot-wise I won’t share details yet but if you let your imagination run wild you might get ideas.” It seems like Mr Six will be taking some ideas he used in second film, by referring back to the first, to the limit in this one, by even joking about his own films. I am quite interested to see how this turns out.

He commented on having Oscar nominated actor Eric Roberts in the film:

“Eric plays an a–hole governor, he is a great, underrated actor with a delicious, worn, malicious face. He was perfect for the part and a real gentleman. I love working with American actors and can’t wait to work with more famous American actors — if they have the b—s to work with me because some are scared to work with a sick European ‘horror’ film maker. I make ‘horrific’ movies, that’s true — but I don’t consider them as standard horror films. I think the genre with mostly masked killers or creepy ghosts on a killing spree is pretty boring and stupid.”

He also has actors from the first two films returning for this offering:

“Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey play very different characters that will put Dr. Heiter and Martin in the shade. They are both brilliant actors with their own style. Laurence played a mute in Part 2; now he is a smart guy with a whole lot of dialog. Dieter played a cold, restrained doctor in Part 1; now he is a loud, racist, sadistic a–hole. Robert Lasardo plays a very cool, daring part, and I gave ex-porn star Bree Olson her first break as a serious actress, and she does one hell of a job. I play ‘Tom Six’ in the movie, which is an Oscar nomination performance.”

Six has always rumoured that the last film will feature a ridiculously large human centipede of about 500 people and he has finally come to confirm that this is true and how he got it made:

“By having a lot of brave American extras and doing it the megalomanic way like they did in Spartacus,” Six says. “F— CGI-created things.”

I for one am very excited to see how this trilogy ends, and hopefully it will be easier to see this time around without a lot of censors trying to get the film banned or edited too much! No word yet on any distribution, but all being well the film will be released later on this year.

Chinese Bootleg Of Oldboy Has A Rather Interesting Marketing Campaign

Sometimes you can not always agree with a marketing campaign for a movie, and others you have to wonder where they get the quotes to put on the covers of DVDs. This blunder may fall into the latter category. It seems a certain Chinese bootlegger has taken a random quote from the internet to put on the cover of their Oldboy copy, but not checked whether it shows the film in a good light.

Ah well, it has certainly brought the people of the internet some enjoyment!

Seth Rogen Shares First Picture From “Sausage Party”

Earlier this year Seth Rogen announced that he was going to be making a new animated movie, but much like his previous body of work it wasn’t going to be your usual run of the mill kids film. He states that the film is would be like “if ‘Shrek’ was R-rated, a very hard and aggressive R”.

Today he has shared the first picture from the making of movie on Twitter, with James Franco recording some of his dialogue.

The film has a predicted release date for 2015, but it is nice to see that a project like this is actually getting off the ground.

The plot is “about sausages in a supermarket that need to get back to their aisle before the fourth of July”, with co-writer Evan Goldberg adding; “they’re whole goal is to get purchased. And they get lost and they need to get back to they’re aisle before the Fourth of July start”

From Dusk Till Dawn Television Show First Image

Once again, through the power of Twitter, the world has been given another exclusive image. This time it is from the upcoming From Dusk Till Dawn television show.

Robert Rodriguez, creator of the original film series, is involved in the show and tweeted this picture through his own personal account.

The show is being distributed through his own television network, El Rey Network, showing once again that if Rodriguez wants to get something done, he will just do it himself!

Kent Farm Under Construction For ‘Batman vs. Superman’

Whilst many people across the world hold their breathe to get a glimpse of any images from the upcoming powerhouse that is Batman vs. Superman, they can bask in the glory of these rather unremarkable images that have recently come to light.

The images from outside Yorkville, Illinois show a barn, water tower and farmhouse along with a few other houses under construction.

Some thought these buildings were for the Man of Steel sequel, but these rumours were put aside when it announced that filming wouldn’t start until early 2014. The producers of both the Man of Steel sequel and Batman vs. Superman have neither denied nor confirmed the uses of these sets for either movie; but with the announcement of the sequel not being shot till next year, it looks a lot more plausible that this location will be used for Batman vs. Superman.

Locals had reported seeing lights in the sky in the surrounding area, and from the photos you can see several spotlights. So whether these are the reason for the apparent night time activity, only time will tell. For now though, fans will have to speculate as what these sets are to be used for and just be happy they have a few unofficial images to placate them until official images are available.

Another day, another Star Wars 7 announcement to set the internet on fire. This time around it is from British actor, Jason Flemyng, who shared this picture yesterday of an apparent section of this latest Star Wars script.

Flemyng added the following quote to the picture; “Pint of Stella and Star Wars script!” …. “That’s me sorted till 5″

Whether or not he actually has a role, or is still in the audition stages has yet to be seen; but at least fans can be happy that the casting is certainly underway.

First Behind The Scenes Pic From Star Wars VII

Last night, via the Bad Robot Twitter account, JJ Abrams released the first behind the scenes photo from the upcoming Star Wars VII movie.

Although still in the writing and production stages, and not to be released December 18th 2015, it is nice to see that he is keeping in touch with one of the most beloved characters from the franchise. I’m sure Abrams will keep teasing us with images like this whilst the film is being shot, but it is nice to see he is starting with something that isn’t so cryptic as his usual marketing techniques
